Singer Hwanhee, who is currently appearing on 'King of Mask Singer 2', has directly refuted the fairness controversy that has arisen from some quarters.

Hwanhee's agency, BT Entertainment, posted a statement on the official fan cafe on the 5th, completely denying a report from a media outlet that raised questions about fairness.

The agency stated, "We are posting this to correct false information," revealing that Hwanhee received an offer to participate in the program from the production team last August.

They continued, "After discussions with our employees and several trusted colleagues and senior and junior singers, we decided to participate in the program," adding, "After confirming with the performance planning company Dion Communication, it has been verified that there is currently no connection to this program or any subsequent performances."

Additionally, they pointed out, "The article in question did not undergo basic verification procedures such as confirming with us, and it presents facts that have no temporal or logical relevance as if there is some unjust connection, suggesting that it affects the fairness of the program."

In response, the agency determined that Hwanhee and the agency's reputation have been unjustly damaged, stating, "We are currently pursuing strong legal action regarding the article."

Previously, a media outlet reported last month that BT Entertainment's CEO, Jin Dong-ki, who is also the representative of Dion Communication (hereafter referred to as Dioncom), invested about 1.1 billion won in the top 7 concert of MBN's 'King of Mask Singer 2' last April. Dioncom's CEO, Jin Soo-il, is said to be the older brother of Jin Dong-ki, raising concerns not only about Hwanhee's fairness but also about allegations of predetermined finalists.
