The heartwarming story of singer DK (December), actor Yoon Si-yoon, and mixed martial artist Myung Hyun-man has been shared late regarding Children's Day.
As members of the volunteer organization N.T.S (New Thing Search), DK, Myung Hyun-man, and Yoon Si-yoon visited the Seondeokwon orphanage located in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 10th, spending a joyful time with the children.
Myung Hyun-man drew the children's curiosity with a depth perception test, creating a fun atmosphere, while magician Lee Hoon captivated the audience with traditional magic. MC Haru created a lively atmosphere with music quizzes and karaoke segments.
Yoon Si-yoon had a recreational time with the children at Seondeokwon, enjoying moments together. DK received applause for his emotional performance reminiscent of his appearance on 'King of Mask Singer' as the Midas Hand. Despite his busy performance schedule, singer DK showed enthusiasm by personally purchasing and wrapping gifts for the children.
Through a treasure hunt, the children received abundant gifts such as snacks and Olive Young gift cards. Ediya Coffee Chairman Moon Chang-ki, upon hearing about the charitable acts, sponsored coffee gift cards and actively encouraged their event.
N.T.S Director Min Byung-hwan presented a donation of 5 million won to Jin Yu-il, the director of Seondeokwon, reflecting on the meaning of Children's Day. Director Min stated, "I feel that we have formed a closer bond with the children of Seondeokwon through this Children's Day visit," and added, "We will continue to have joyful and happy meetings in the future."
The N.T.S volunteer group was formed with participants including mixed martial artist Taekwondo fighter Hong Young-ki, comedian Kim Seung-jin from MBN's 'Running to Live', DMK CEO Kang Jun-ho, and Hongdae meat restaurant owner Cheon Tae-woo, all coming together for social service. In March, they visited the Seondeokwon independence center, providing furniture, various household items, and wallpaper as part of their volunteer activities.
Yoon Si-yoon reportedly gathered with all N.T.S members weeks in advance to prepare the program with Jin Yu-il, the director of Seondeokwon, Kim Yeon-ja, the executive director, and Park Jin-seul, the director. Yoon Si-yoon expressed, "I am truly grateful to have had a joyful and happy time with the children," and added, "I hope to continue having even better meetings in the future."
With the release of his new song 'Already Beautiful You' on the 28th, DK mentioned, "This year, we are planning a 1-night, 2-day fan camp with fans on June 28, and visiting Seondeokwon to spend time with the children has now become a part of my daily life." Myung Hyun-man added, "We always want to look around our neighborhood and provide small help with the members who joined us."
