Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao will appear in 'Physical: Asia.'
On the 4th at 10:30 AM, the 'Next on Netflix 2025 Korea' event was held at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul. Kang Dong-han, VP of Netflix Korea Content, Kim Tae-won, Director of Netflix Film, Yoo Gi-hwan, Director of Netflix Non-Fiction, and Bae Jong-byeong, Senior Director of Netflix Series attended the event.
Yoo Gi-hwan, Director of Netflix Non-Fiction, introduced, "'Physical: 100's' third installment, 'Physical: Asia,' will also be released this year. Instead of selecting one from 100, it will be a competition between Asian countries."
He continued, "Each country will have the same number of representatives participating, and if a country is eliminated, all its participants will be eliminated, and if a country wins, they will be the champions."
Director Yoo Gi-hwan also revealed one of the participants for the first time: Manny Pacquiao.
Yoo Gi-hwan stated, "Manny Pacquiao, who first conquered eight weight classes, will represent the Philippines in 'Physical: Asia.' Please stay tuned to see who else will participate and who from Korea will join as well."
The 2025 Netflix lineup includes a variety of Korean works armed with diverse genres such as 'Bokssak Sogassuda,' 'Revelation,' 'Mantis,' 'Crime Scene Zero,' 'Melomovie,' and 'The Price of Confession,' along with global anticipated titles like 'Squid Game' Season 3, 'Stranger Things' Season 5, 'Wednesday' Season 2, and 'Frankenstein.'
