Singer IU emphasized that she has not fallen into the "celebrity disease." She stated that she does not pay much attention to gossip about herself and is not affected by it.

IU appeared on the YouTube entertainment program 'Salon Drip 2' and discussed the rumors surrounding her.

IU described herself as a "homebody," saying, "I like being at home. My mode changes when I wear makeup or not, so I can switch on and off immediately," adding, "Having different names, Lee Ji-eun and IU, also plays a part."

She mentioned, "One of the things I was born with as Lee Ji-eun is self-objectivity," and stated, "Someone might criticize me, but if that person says 'IU has celebrity disease,' that's a lie. I don't think I'm that great, so that doesn't hold true."

She continued, "Someone might say I'm rude. But that's just me being rude. It's not because of celebrity disease; I was just born that way."

While IU said she is not greatly affected by the stories surrounding her, she expressed, "I don't mind comments saying I'm ugly, can't sing, or can't act. I don't consider those to be malicious comments. However, I believe there should be consequences for claims that I did something I didn't."

IU is currently connecting with global viewers through the Netflix series 'You Have Been Cheated,' co-starring Park Bo-gum.
