Actor Lee Sang-bo has signed an exclusive contract with KMG (Korea Management Group).
On the 13th, the agency KMG announced this news, stating, “We will spare no effort in providing full support. We are looking forward to his next project, so please show a lot of interest and love.”
Lee Sang-bo debuted in 2006 with the KBS2 drama ‘Invisible Man Choi Jang-soo’. He has since appeared in ‘The Daughter-in-Law Era’, ‘Bad Love’, as well as JTBC’s ‘Private Lives’, KBS2’s ‘Miss Monte Cristo’, and ‘Elegant Empire’.
In particular, ‘Miss Monte Cristo’, in which Lee Sang-bo starred, recorded a peak viewership rating of 17.6% (according to Nielsen Korea), while ‘Elegant Empire’ achieved a peak rating of 12.5%. Lee Sang-bo has successfully led all the projects he starred in to high viewership ratings.
Additionally, Lee Sang-bo has also made his mark on the big screen. Starting with the Japanese film ‘Kisarazu Cat’s Eye World Series’, he appeared in ‘Secretly Greatly’ and ‘Mephisto’, leaving a strong presence.
In September 2022, during the Chuseok holiday, Lee Sang-bo was embroiled in controversy after being falsely accused of being a ‘drug actor’. He denied the allegations, explaining that it was due to the antidepressants he was taking, and provided a hospital diagnosis as proof. Following a police investigation, he was cleared of charges after about 20 days.
After the ordeal, Lee Sang-bo has signed an exclusive contract with his new agency KMG, raising expectations for his active activities in 2025.
Meanwhile, KMG also represents actors Jeong Hye-seon, Ahn Jae-mo, Lee Hwang-ui, Lee Soo-kyung, Kim Bi-bi, Jang Nam-soo, Gil Ha-eun, as well as singers Jang Jeong-han and Jun-jae.
