Model-turned-actress Kim Young-ah has divorced Shiba Kotaro, a prominent figure in the Japanese entertainment industry.

On the 28th, Kim Young-ah announced on her SNS, “Thank you to all the fans who always support me with warm encouragement. I apologize for the late news, but I divorced my husband last fall.”

She continued, “I am grateful for the time we have spent together, and now we are walking our own paths. However, we will maintain our relationship as parents and I will continue to pour my unwavering love into my precious son,” adding, “I will work hard as a mother and in my career, so I would appreciate your warm support.”

Meanwhile, Kim Young-ah debuted in 2003 with the MBC sitcom ‘Nonstop 3’ and appeared in dramas such as ‘Love Forever’ and ‘A Woman Who Wants to Marry.’ She later became a model for a Japanese magazine and received much love in the local market.

Kim Young-ah married a Korean man in 2009 but divorced in 2013. She remarried Shiba Kotaro, a 12-year-older Japanese entertainment businessman known as the producer of the idol group AKB48, but they ended their marriage after nine years.
