
Chinese actor Li Mingde (Lee Myung-deok, 29) has been sentenced to 6 months in prison and a hefty compensation fee for damaging another person's vehicle while intoxicated.
On the 31st, local media such as Sina Entertainment reported that Li Mingde was sentenced to 6 months in prison for property damage and a civil compensation fee of 200,000 yuan (approximately 38 million KRW).
The incident occurred on January 27 in Chaoyang District, Beijing. At the time, a drunken Li Mingde was found to have kicked the parked vehicle of Mr. A, ripped off the car emblem, and damaged the side mirror.
The police responded to the report and arrested Li Mingde, while also issuing an administrative penalty to Mr. A for illegal parking on the road.
Both parties signed a compensation agreement under police mediation, but Li Mingde later failed to fulfill the compensation promise, leading Mr. A to file a lawsuit.
On the 31st, Mr. A announced the verdict results on his SNS, stating, "The case has been resolved after six months. I hope he learns a lesson from this incident and lives his life well."
Meanwhile, born in 1996, Li Mingde is a graduate of the Beijing Film Academy and has appeared in dramas such as 'The Jade Pendant', 'The Love of a Young Woman', and 'Dear, Love'.
