Actor Lee Jong-suk has conveyed a warm heart for children and vulnerable patients.
Actor Lee Jong-suk donated 100 million won to the children's hospital at Asan Medical Center in Seoul and a support fund for vulnerable patients.
The children's hospital at Asan Medical Center will use Lee Jong-suk's donation to support treatment costs for pediatric patients who are struggling with financial burdens and to provide integrated medical services that can alleviate the suffering of pediatric patients with severe illnesses and improve the quality of life for them and their families. The support fund for vulnerable patients will be used to cover medical expenses for patients fighting illness in difficult circumstances, including treatment and surgery costs.
Lee Jong-suk previously donated 100 million won to the children's hospital at Asan Medical Center in 2023. Following his previous donation, the hospital expressed gratitude for Lee Jong-suk's generosity, stating, “We are thankful for the donation from actor Lee Jong-suk to our hospital again this year, just like last year. The donation made last year greatly supported pediatric patients, and we believe this year's contribution will also be a great help to children and vulnerable patients.”
Since 2016, Lee Jong-suk has consistently engaged in charitable activities, providing support for youth preparing for independence, the Korean Medical Association, and international relief and development NGOs, personally checking on places that need help every year and offering warm interest and support.
Wrapping up the year on a warm note, Lee Jong-suk will return in 2025 with the new tvN drama ‘Seocho-dong.’ The drama, which depicts the life of a lawyer commuting to Seocho-dong every day, is a collaboration between Lee Jong-suk and director Park Seung-woo, who previously worked together on the MBC drama W (Two Worlds), along with writer Lee Seung-hyun, who is a current lawyer. Public expectations are high for Lee Jong-suk's portrayal of the realistic life of a working lawyer.
