The '2024 SEOULCON APAN STAR AWARDS' concluded with great fanfare amid global attention.
Hosted by the Korea Entertainment Management Association and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency, the '2024 SEOULCON APAN STAR AWARDS' took place on the 28th at the Art Hall 1 of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The ceremony was hosted by actor Kim Seung-woo and announcer Park Sun-young, whose smooth hosting skills and unique chemistry added vibrancy to the event.
The 'APAN Star Awards' has always attracted attention with the gathering of leading K-drama stars that are hard to find in one place. This year, numerous stars graced the event, enhancing the prestige and reputation of Korea's unified drama awards.
Additionally, the opening performance by Lady Bounce was spectacular, and special stages by Classy Chae-won, Eunice, and Kim Joon-soo further elevated the festive atmosphere.
After a fierce competition, the Grand Prize went to Kim Tae-ri (tvN 'The Retirement Age'). Kim Tae-ri's irreplaceable ability to embody her character shone in 'The Retirement Age.' She perfectly portrayed a character aspiring to become a national opera star, impressing viewers with her singing, dancing, and dialect skills.
The Best Actor Award in the Mid-length Drama category went to Ji Chang-wook (JTBC 'Welcome to Samdali'), while the Best Actress Award went to Lee Ha-nee (MBC 'The Flower That Blooms at Night'). The Best Actor Award in the Long Drama category was awarded to Ji Hyun-woo (KBS2 'Beauty and the Beast'), and the Best Actress Award went to Lim Soo-hyang (KBS2 'Beauty and the Beast').
The Excellent Actor Award in the Mid-length Drama category went to Lee Yi-kyung (tvN 'Marry My Husband'), and the Excellent Actress Award went to Jung Eun-chae (ENA 'Your Honor', tvN 'The Retirement Age'). The Excellent Actor Award in the Long Drama category was awarded to Kim Dong-jun (KBS2 'Goryeo-Khitan War'), and the Excellent Actress Award went to Oh Hyun-kyung (KBS1 'A Profitable Us').
The Best Actor Award in the Short/Web Drama category went to Lee Sang-woon (tvN 'O'PENing 2024 - The Daughter of a Fan'), and the Best Actress Award went to Jung In-sun (tvN 'O'PENing - The Grand Shining Hotel').
The Best Actor Award went to Jeon Bae-soo (ENA 'My Harry', Netflix 'Morning Comes to the Psychiatric Ward', tvN 'Queen of Tears') and Seo Hyun-cheol (JTBC 'Welcome to Samdali', Coupang Play 'Boys' Generation'), while the Best Actress Award was shared by Kim Jung-nan (tvN 'Queen of Tears') and Jung Young-joo (tvN 'Jumping with a Load', JTBC 'The Day and Night Are Different').
The Best New Actor Award went to Kim Jung-jin (Coupang Play 'Boys' Generation', MBC 'Such an Intimate Betrayer', JTBC 'Quiet Sales'), and No Jae-won (MBC 'Such an Intimate Betrayer', Netflix 'Morning Comes to the Psychiatric Ward'). The Best New Actress Award went to Chae Won-bin (MBC 'Such an Intimate Betrayer') and Kang Mina (JTBC 'Welcome to Samdali').
The Youth Actor Award (Male) went to Lee Joo-won (tvN 'Queen of Tears', JTBC 'The Woman Who Plays', KBS2 'Hyo-shim's Family'), and the Youth Actor Award (Female) went to Park So-i (JTBC 'Not a Hero').
The Writer Award went to Choi Yoo-na (SBS 'Good Partner'), the Director Award went to Lee Myung-woo (Coupang Play 'Boys' Generation'), the Achievement Award went to Kim Young-ok, and the Work Award went to tvN 'The Retirement Age.'
Additionally, awards were given to influencers who shone in global content. In the overseas category, Dasha Taran, Irene Swandi, Wespi, and Punam Naruka were awarded, while in the domestic category, Shin Sama and Yuka received awards. The Korea Celebrity Award was won by Lalala.
The winners of the six categories selected by fan voting for Idol Champ were also announced. The Popular Actor Award (Male) went to Byun Woo-seok, the Popular Actor Award (Female) went to Kim Hye-yoon, the OST Award went to Eclipse's 'Shower', the Global Star Award went to Byun Woo-seok, the Best Couple Award went to Byun Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon, and the Best Entertainer Award went to Kang Daniel, all of whom received immense love from global fans.
