‘I Live Alone’ has won the Variety Program of the Year award.
On the 28th at 8:20 PM, the ‘MBC Entertainment Awards’ took place at the new MBC headquarters in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by Jeon Hyun-moo, Yoon Eun-hye, and Lee Jang-woo.
During the live broadcast, viewer voting was conducted for the Variety Program of the Year award. The nominees included ‘Home Alone!’, ‘I Live Alone’, ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’, ‘Radio Star’, ‘King of Masked Singer’, ‘Class That Crosses the Line’, ‘Show! Music Core’, ‘All-Seeing Assistant’, ‘Born to be a Music Journey’, and ‘It’s a Relief to Rest’.
The program chosen by the viewers was ‘I Live Alone’. PD Heo Hang expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank the viewers who loved us throughout last year.” He continued, “This year, ‘I Live Alone’ turns 12 years old. When I see the Rainbow members, I hope they meet good people and build good families, but on the other hand, I worry about what will happen if even one of them gets married and leaves. I feel heartbroken thinking about it. We’ve become so much like family that I worry about how to let them go. They are truly lovely individuals who are living their lives beautifully, so I hope you watch them with affectionate eyes.”
He added, “I don’t know what kind of luck ‘I Live Alone’ has to have a production team like you all. Every process feels like a dream, and we create the program happily. If we can make you smile, even for a moment, on Friday nights amidst the busyness, I have no other wishes. Wishing you a lot of blessings in the new year.”
The ‘MBC Entertainment Awards’ is an event that summarizes the entertainment, cultural, and radio programs aired throughout the year.
