Actor Jung Il-woo has urged caution against voice phishing scams.
On the 13th, Jung Il-woo shared a notice from his agency on social media. The agency stated, "We have confirmed that there have been cases of voice phishing impersonating actor Jung Il-woo both domestically and internationally. In particular, we express our deep regret that overseas fans are experiencing these scams more frequently."
In response, Jung Il-woo said, "I am deeply concerned about the distress some of our fans have experienced due to these actions," and added, "Your safety and peace of mind are my top priorities, which is why I am conveying this message."
He continued, "The trust between me and my fans is more precious than anything else. I feel very saddened that such a situation has occurred," and urged, "I ask that fans be vigilant about any suspicious contacts or requests.
