Nam Gyu-ri showcased her 'photo goddess' side through a recent photoshoot.
In this photoshoot, she freely embraced a concept that oscillated between innocence and intensity, revealing her Barbie doll visuals.
In a subsequent interview after the shoot, she candidly confessed about her hiatus as a singer and her thirst for music. "Honestly, when I left SeeYa, I thought I would never be able to do music again," she said, adding, "I had a short but intense career, but even when I wanted to sing again, I was in a situation where I wasn't given the opportunity. The thirst for music has always remained in one corner of my heart." The new song 'Heartache', released after a long wait of 14 years, is a result of Nam Gyu-ri's past experiences and sincerity.
She also answered honestly about questions regarding a reunion ahead of SeeYa's 20th anniversary. She laughed and asked, "Did you notice that we are publicly flirting?" and added, "Seeing other groups reunite makes me envious, and above all, I want to stand on stage at least once for the fans."
She reflected on her past, which was marred by misunderstandings and wounds. "They say ignorance is bliss; I think I was able to endure because I didn't know much. I don't want to go back to those days," she said, adding, "If I didn't have that innocence, I wouldn't be who I am today."
She also revealed her simple daily life, which is different from the glamorous stage. "High-rise apartments don't suit me. Now, I live in the mountains and can clearly see the four seasons, and just taking a walk makes me feel grateful," she shared her straightforward lifestyle.
Although she is known for her mystique, among fans, she is referred to as the 'communication king' and 'fan expert'. Nam Gyu-ri said, "Many people see me as having a mystique image, but that's not the case at all," and smiled, "Fans tell me that I'm doing everything I want these days, and I really am."
