Lee Jin-ho, a broadcaster who has been embroiled in controversy over illegal gambling, has been caught for drunk driving, and it has been revealed that the first person to report this was his girlfriend.

According to entertainment media Dispatch on the 24th, Lee Jin-ho had an argument with his girlfriend A at a bar in Incheon early that morning. Afterward, he drove about 100 km to his home in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, which A reported.

The police, who received the report of Lee Jin-ho's drunk driving, conducted a regional joint investigation and apprehended him in Yangpyeong around 3 AM. It was found that he had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.11%, which is at the level for license cancellation.

At Lee Jin-ho's request, the police measured his blood alcohol concentration through a blood test. He has since returned home.

Regarding the incident, his agency SM C&C stated, "After confirming with Lee Jin-ho, he admitted to driving under the influence early this morning."

They added, "Lee Jin-ho believes it is his fault without any excuses or justifications and is deeply reflecting on his actions," and "the agency also feels responsible and will faithfully carry out any disciplinary actions and legal measures."

Lee Jin-ho debuted as a comedian in 2005 through SBS's 7th special recruitment and stepped down from shows like JTBC's "Knowing Bros" after his habitual illegal gambling charges became known last October. It is reported that he borrowed over 2 billion won from loan sharks and fellow entertainers to fund his illegal gambling.

Lee Jin-ho previously apologized via social media, stating, "I have taken on debts that are hard to bear, and I will repay them myself in the future."
