NCT DREAM's Mark revealed the theme of their new album, which borrows from the concept of 'time travel.'
On the morning of the 14th, a production presentation for NCT DREAM's 5th studio album 'Go Back To The Future' was held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Regarding the theme of 'time travel' for this album, he stated, "I proudly think that there is no team with a narrative as rich as NCT DREAM. Since we are now in our 10th year, I thought there would be many stories we could tell with the theme of 'time travel.'
He continued, "I thought we could share fun elements, such as hoverboards or pajamas, which have been symbolic since our debut. I have always wanted to convey positive messages and healing. After 9 years since our debut, we have matured, and I believe that the concept of time travel perfectly encapsulates both our past and what we will show in the future. This allowed us to immerse ourselves and enjoy preparing the album even more."
Regarding their confidence in the 5th album 'Go Back To The Future,' Renjun emphasized, "As high as the sky and deep as the earth," while Jeno expressed, "Although this album has a time travel concept, I believe that my future is something I create. Since the past, present, and future are all me, I think the confidence that comes from that will shine through."
Haechan mentioned, "Although we are a month away from our 9th anniversary, we are preparing the performance and tracks as if this is our debut album. Regardless of time, I think you will see how sincere NCT DREAM is about this album and enjoy it."
Renjun also reflected on reaching their 9th anniversary. He shared, "Before our album was released, we had a gathering that wasn't for any official content, just for us to have fun together. It was significant to share messages and have meetings about working hard together. We wanted to have fun and work hard, and I enjoyed the recreation I prepared. Since it was our first regular album, we went with the mindset to show a solid image, and since then, our unity has strengthened."
Finally, Mark commented on the time that has passed, saying, "I had a lot of fun with this promotion. Besides the music video and jacket, we also paid homage to the background of old content in our SNS promotions and re-shot them in a modern version. There were many symbolic moments, and I believe that those past experiences have come together to create NCT DREAM."
NCT DREAM's 5th studio album 'Go Back To The Future' is a spectacular journey of the curious and quirky NCT DREAM, who embark on a time travel adventure to find the most brilliant 'me,' crossing through the past, present, and future, featuring double title tracks 'BTTF' (Back To The Future) and 'CHILLER.'
Meanwhile, NCT DREAM's 5th studio album 'Go Back To The Future' will be released today as a physical album.
