
Actress Kang Seo-ha (real name Kang Ye-won) has passed away.
According to the entertainment industry on the 14th, Kang Seo-ha lost her life today after a battle with cancer. She was 31 years old.
The deceased's mortuary has been set up in Room 8 of the Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital. The funeral is scheduled for 7:40 AM on the 16th. The burial site is reported to be in Ham-an, Gyeongnam.
Tributes to the deceased have also been posted on Kang Seo-ha's social media.
On her social media, a post reads, “I still can’t believe it, sister. While enduring such great pain, you worried about those around you and me. Even though you couldn’t eat for months, you insisted on paying for my meals with your card. My angel left us too soon. Even while enduring with painkillers, you said you were grateful and that it could have been worse, which made me feel really ashamed. My sister, you suffered so much, and I hope you are only happy without pain over there!” as the sad news was shared.
Born in 1994, Kang Seo-ha graduated from the Korea National University of Arts' Theater Department and debuted in the entertainment industry in 2012 with the music video for "Far Away" by Brave Guys.
She began her acting career with the JTBC drama "Seonam Girls High School Detectives" and has appeared in numerous works including KBS's "Assembly," "Again, First Love," "Wave, Wave," MBC's "The Flower in Prison," and SBS's "Cardiothoracic Surgery."
In 2023, Kang Seo-ha signed a contract with Insight MCN, a company established by Insight Entertainment, the production company of the musical "Those Days," and the creator management company Showtime Crew, continuing her activities. The film "Mangnae-in," in which she recently finished filming as the lead, is expected to be her last work.
