Singer and actress Son Dam-bi revealed her married life with her husband Lee Gyu-hyuk and the reason for having a child through the YouTube channel 'Sister-in-law is K.Will' in the 'Knowing Sister-in-law' segment. In the video uploaded on the 9th, Son Dam-bi stated, "I originally thought of living as a DINK couple. I thought we could just enjoy our old age together," admitting that there were no plans for children from the start.
However, around the first year of their marriage, her husband Lee Gyu-hyuk began to bring up the topic of having children. Son Dam-bi recalled, "At first, I thought he was joking, but it turned out he was serious. He kept talking about it after drinking."
When K.Will asked, "Did you enjoy your time as just the two of you for the first year after marriage?" Son Dam-bi replied, "I 1000% agree," adding, "If we hadn't had that time, it would have been harder to have a baby." This meant that the time they spent understanding and adjusting to each other allowed them to prepare for parenting.
Although they may not have gone from DINK to having multiple children, a love greater than planned filled Son Dam-bi's daily life.
Meanwhile, Son Dam-bi married former national speed skating representative Lee Gyu-hyuk in 2022 and welcomed their first daughter, Hae-i, in April.
