Broadcaster Kim Kyung-ran shared an anecdote about detecting actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo's stroke.
On the 8th, MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ featured guests Jang Jin, Kim Ji-hoon, Kim Kyung-ran, and Choi Ye-na.
On that day, Kim Kyung-ran drew attention by saying she saved a life during a variety show. She explained, “At that time, I was hosting a health program. It was a large-scale program with doctors and an audience, and Sunwoo Yong-yeo was also there.”
She continued, “While filming, I passed the talk to Sunwoo Yong-yeo, but she started talking about something slightly off-topic. In fact, her statements didn’t even make sense. I thought, ‘This is strange,’ but no one around seemed to notice anything unusual. I thought, ‘Maybe I misheard,’ and continued filming. Later, when I passed the talk to Sunwoo Yong-yeo again, she spoke even slower and made even less sense,” recalling the moment.
Feeling something was off, Kim Kyung-ran stopped the filming and asked the doctor, who was a panelist, to check on Sunwoo Yong-yeo's condition. Kim Kyung-ran said, “I asked her to raise her hand, but she couldn’t. So we went to the hospital right away, and it turned out to be a stroke,” surprising everyone.
In response, Kim Gu-ra said, “That incident changed Sunwoo Yong-yeo’s outlook on life. She now thinks, ‘There’s nothing to take with me, so I should enjoy life,’ and eats at the buffet every day.” Kim Kyung-ran smiled and replied, “Thanks to that, I’ve also enjoyed a lot of meals.”
