Lee Chan-won's filial piety is revealed in ‘New Release Pyeon Restaurant’.

In the KBS2 entertainment program ‘New Release Pyeon Restaurant’ (hereafter ‘Pyeon Restaurant’) airing on the 10th, chef Chan-tto Lee Chan-won visits his alma mater, Yeungnam University, to challenge himself to prepare breakfast for 250 students. During this process, his ability to connect with the chefs he works with is highlighted as he melts their hearts.

In the VCR released that day, Lee Chan-won visits the student cafeteria at Yeungnam University. He expressed, “I wanted to gift a warm meal along with encouragement to the juniors who are struggling with anxiety about the future,” and prepared a hearty menu including handmade king pork cutlet, beef brisket soybean stew, egg chive pancake, and seasoned lettuce. The experienced chefs at the student cafeteria rolled up their sleeves to help Lee Chan-won, who was taking on his first large-scale cooking challenge.

With his unique warm charm, Lee Chan-won captured the hearts of the chefs. He sang songs that the chefs liked on the spot and chatted with the chefs he quickly became close with, using a friendly semi-formal tone that turned the ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ studio upside down.

The ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ crew laughed, saying, “Isn’t this flirting?” and “Chan-won has a skill to win over mothers’ hearts.” The chefs, charmed by Lee Chan-won’s friendliness, appeared like guardian angels to help him whenever he faced difficulties while cooking, showcasing a fantastic chemistry.

As Lee Chan-won cooked alongside the chefs, sweating together, he expressed his gratitude to the chefs who work hard every day and naturally thought of his parents.

Lee Chan-won said, “My parents also work in a restaurant and have many burn marks. I’ve had similar experiences while helping them. I don’t think working with food is easy,” which touched the hearts of the chefs. He then added, “I send side dishes to my parents about twice a month because I really enjoy cooking,” which reportedly moved everyone once again.

The kind-hearted filial son, chef Chan-tto Lee Chan-won’s ‘Youth Support Project’ for his juniors in their 20s can be seen on ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ airing at 9:50 PM on the 10th.
