Han Chang, the husband of broadcaster Jang Young-ran, revealed the reason and his feelings about closing his 400-pyeong oriental medicine hospital.
In a video posted on the YouTube channel ‘Go Eun Unni Han Go-eun’ on the 9th, Jang Young-ran and her husband Han Chang were seen visiting Han Go-eun's house for a couple's dinner.
On that day, Jang Young-ran cautiously asked Han Go-eun's husband, Shin Young-soo, “Is it okay to say you’re unemployed?” It is reported that Shin Young-soo resigned in 2020 to care for his ailing father.
Shin Young-soo, who said it wasn’t easy at first, honestly revealed, “It’s still a bit tough now.”
Han Chang also recently closed his oriental medicine hospital, and Jang Young-ran said, “My husband was very stressed in the beginning. In fact, my brother-in-law is quite capable, isn’t he?”
In response, Shin Young-soo said, “Chang can open the hospital tomorrow,” adding, “But as an employee, it feels like my qualifications are disappearing year by year. I go wherever someone calls me. No one has scouted me.”

Jang Young-ran mentioned that there were frequent arguments when her husband was running the hospital, saying, “I thought family was more important. My husband was getting more and more stressed from running the business, and we fought a lot about that. After we closed the oriental medicine hospital and focused on family, we haven’t had any fights.”
Currently, Han Chang is satisfied with spending time with Jang Young-ran and watching their children grow. Jang Young-ran said, “In the beginning, there was a lot of stress. He would drink beer while reading articles.”
Han Chang directly explained the reason for transferring the hospital. He said, “I was worried that running a business would negatively affect my wife. However, comments like ‘Jang Young-ran’s husband is supporting his in-laws,’ ‘He’s struggling alone,’ and ‘He must have sold it because it wasn’t working’ started appearing. It’s not that I was struggling with deficits and forced to sell.”
He mentioned that he is currently finding peace in other areas, saying, “I studied and spent time with my children, and I also obtained a Korean history certification and a level 5 Hanja certification together.”
Meanwhile, Jang Young-ran married oriental medicine doctor Han Chang in 2009 and they have one daughter and one son.
