Broadcaster Joo Woo-jae stated that it is not something to be criticized for not accepting flyers on the street.

On the 23rd, a video titled "The Story That Calls for a Fist | ISTP Joo Woo-jae's Life Counseling Center" was released on Joo Woo-jae's YouTube channel.

On that day, a subscriber sent in a story asking, "Should I accept flyers on the street?" This subscriber explained, "It was a topic of debate with my friends," adding, "When flyers are handed out on the street, whether it's elderly people or others, they tend not to accept them. The reason for not accepting is that they think it's a waste of paper since they won't even look at it and will just throw it away."

They continued, "I used to accept them, but since there are many religious ones, I stopped. However, my friend said, 'If we just accept the flyers, the elderly people's work is done,' so they insisted we should accept them."

In response, Joo Woo-jae said, "I really dislike the idea of being confined to the thought that 'it must be done this way' except for obeying the law in this world," and explained, "I believe it's right to make your own judgments and act according to your own thoughts as long as it doesn't harm others."

He added, "Honestly, it varies from situation to situation. When I encounter situations where flyers are being handed out, I usually observe the attitude of the people distributing them. Some people get angry and ask, 'Why aren't you accepting them?' while others might lightly bump into you as they pass by. Some apologize and walk past. There are also those who try not to cause harm, and in such cases, I sometimes go ahead and accept them."

However, regarding the subscriber's opinion that "not accepting flyers is a waste of paper," he stated, "That statement doesn't hold much meaning. In many cases, these people will find that the work is only done when it all becomes waste. So whether you accept it or not, the waste of paper is the same."

He also said, "If my friend criticizes me for not accepting a flyer, saying 'It's disrespectful to the elderly,' I would probably dismiss that friend before the flyer. Of course, this friend probably wouldn't say it that way. Accepting or not accepting is a matter of freedom," adding, "Just because distributing flyers is their job doesn't mean it's a collaboration with me. Not accepting is not a task assigned to me. I don't think it's something to be criticized for not accepting. There's no need to feel guilty."
