It has been 30 years since the late actor Im Seong-min (real name Im Kwan-bae) passed away.

Im Seong-min passed away at the young age of 39 on August 20, 1995, after battling cirrhosis.

Born in 1956, he made his debut in the film "The Last Night's Tango" in 1976, and the following year began his acting career as a talent from TBC's 18th recruitment.

With a tall height of 180 cm, handsome looks, and a passionate acting talent, Im Seong-min rose to stardom, establishing himself as the top handsome actor of the 1980s and 1990s, appearing on both TV and film.

He starred in significant works such as the films "Colorful Man," "Between Knees," "The Praise of Death," and the dramas "Nodaji," "The Years of Ambition," and "The Bonds of Love." Notably, he received recognition for his acting skills by winning the Best Actor award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards in 1991 for "The Praise of Death."

In his early 30s, while his career was flourishing, he collapsed due to cirrhosis following chronic hepatitis. The MBC drama "Love and Marriage," in which he starred alongside Kim Hee-ae, Kim Hye-soo, and Lee Young-ae, ultimately became his last work.
