Voice actress and broadcaster Seo Yu-ri revealed her struggles after divorce.
On the afternoon of the 28th, Seo Yu-ri posted a lengthy message on her SNS, saying, “I hope you look at me without prejudice.”
Seo Yu-ri stated, “I have been consistently engaged in various activities such as game recordings and appearances on terrestrial programs. However, due to the debts incurred during the process of settling past relationships, the situation has not been fully resolved yet.” She added, “In particular, the settlement amount with X (ex-husband) was supposed to be received by the end of December last year, but due to X filing for bankruptcy, I have not received a single penny until now, and the difficulties have increased.”
Seo Yu-ri emphasized that she does not want to go through bankruptcy or rehabilitation procedures, saying, “Although the debt was not created by me, I believe I have some responsibility, so I will do my best until the end.”
She continued, “However, due to speculative articles that are not based on facts and indiscriminate reporting, not only I but also those around me are being hurt. I sincerely ask you to refrain from amplifying or sensationalizing unverified content.”
Finally, Seo Yu-ri wrote, “Negative perceptions and indiscriminate rumors are a heavy burden for me,” and added, “I would be truly grateful if you could send me support and encouragement so that I can take full responsibility until the end.”
Seo Yu-ri married PD Choi Byung-gil in 2019, but they faced a breakup in March last year after five years. During the divorce process, Seo Yu-ri had conflicts with PD Choi regarding loans and revealed that she repaid over 1.14 billion won in loans on September last year.
On the 10th, she also shared a screenshot of her loan repayment completion, stating, “Another one completed. I won’t cause harm to others at least.” Seo Yu-ri has been revealing that PD Choi demanded loans in her name during the divorce process.
