‘Dog is Great’ (hereafter referred to as Dog is Great) is coming back.

KBS2's ‘Dog is Great’, which has led the pet dog culture in South Korea, is returning upgraded to match the era of approximately 15 million pet owners.

Since its conclusion in 2004, many pet owners have still struggled with dog training and coexistence. To address this, ‘Dog is Great’ is making a comeback with a military academy concept to teach how to live 'well and kindly' with their dogs.

This season of ‘Dog is Great’ will establish a military academy optimized for training, enhancing the quality of education through diverse advice from various teachers and personalized 1:1 training, making it easier for viewers and pet owners to understand the training content.

The head of the military academy will be Lee Kyung-kyu, the 'dog father' who has led ‘Dog is Great’ for a long time. Trot singer Young-tak will join as the head of the academic department, presenting a fresh combination that has never been seen before, promising abundant entertainment.

The introduction of a 'homeroom teacher' system will lead to a friendly competition among trainers to take care of the troubled dogs, providing both tension and fun. Viewers can also look forward to supporting new trainers, from legendary trainers to rising stars.

The production team of ‘Dog is Great’ stated, “An all-star lineup of dog trainers will gather as 'teachers' to diagnose behavioral issues of the dogs and take charge of their training, while veterinarians will carefully check the health and psychology of the troubled dogs before and after training, opening a new horizon for dog training.” They added, “We have started filming vigorously with the goal of surpassing the previous ‘Dog is Great’ and achieving ‘Beyond Dog is Great’,” urging for interest.

‘Dog is Great’ will air on October 9 at 8:30 PM, the last day of the Chuseok holiday.
