The record-breaking scale of the delivery scene of a quadruplet mother, who was even advised to undergo 'selective reduction', is revealed.
In the preview for the first regular broadcast of TV CHOSUN’s ‘Our Baby is Born Again’ (hereafter ‘Our Baby’) airing on the 16th, a quadruplet mother appears. Inside her womb were four fetuses, and the fetal movements were notably vigorous. However, the mother was not entirely happy as she approached childbirth.
The mother of the quadruplets shared, “I was advised to undergo ‘selective reduction’,” explaining that, like many parents of multiple births, she was encouraged to consider the difficult and potentially dangerous option of reducing the number of fetuses.
However, the mother expressed her strong will, saying, “I have five hearts inside me. Let’s take all four with us, somehow…” In the midst of this, her husband was captured wiping away tears in front of the operating room, worried that something might go wrong with his wife.
Inside the operating room, more than 20 medical staff were busily preparing for the delivery of the quadruplets. With a record-breaking scale of delivery expected, the medical team warned that “the likelihood of needing assistance is much higher due to difficulty in self-breathing,” indicating that they would be busy from the moment the babies were born.
As the quadruplets began to be born one by one, the medical staff monitoring the babies sensed something unusual. Eventually, one staff member called out, “Professor, please come over here,” seeking help. Additionally, the sight of medical staff shaking their heads as if something was wrong raised curiosity about what might have occurred during the quadruplet delivery process.
‘Our Baby is Born Again’ is the first domestic variety show that directly visits delivery scenes to support and celebrate the birth of new life, conveying the joy of childbirth.
The regular season will premiere on the 16th at 10 PM on TV CHOSUN.
