Production company TEO, founded by PD Kim Tae-ho, is teaming up with Netflix to launch a cooking talk show titled 'Subjective Restaurant'.

According to broadcasting sources, Chef Choi Gang-rok and YouTuber Moon Sang-hoon from 'Bad News' will be the main hosts, with various stars appearing as guests. The show will feature a talk format where they prepare favorite dishes for the stars and share various stories.

A PD from TEO will be directing the show, which aims to air in the first half of the year. It has been reported that singer Jang Ki-ha and actor Jung Hae-in have already completed filming as guests.

Chef Choi Gang-rok gained popularity as the winner of Olive's 'Master Chef Korea' Season 2 in 2013, showcasing his unique way of speaking, such as "But now, with basil," which created memes online. He also drew attention with his memorable quotes like "It's me, perilla oil" on Netflix's cooking competition show 'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War'.

Moon Sang-hoon, who gained recognition through the YouTube channel 'Bad News BDNS' and the segment 'Korean Geography's Top Teacher Moon', has showcased his charm through various alter egos, including the clumsy yet passionate reporter 'Moon Sang Reporter' and the empathetic 'Emotional Returnee'. He has also acted in Netflix's series 'D.P.' and the drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'.

The global success of Netflix's variety show 'Black and White Chef' has led to a resurgence in the production of cooking shows, which had been somewhat stagnant. ENA has introduced a cooking variety show titled 'Baek Jong-won's Les Misérables', featuring Baek Jong-won, who served as a judge on 'Black and White Chef', and the original cooking show 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' has made a comeback after five years, achieving the top spot in buzz.

A new cooking variety show format titled 'Cooking Bicycle', showcasing Korean street food in Spain, is also set to air this year.
