The OST "Golden" from the Netflix animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" (hereafter "K-Demon") has made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, and composer Lee Jae, who plays the character Lumi in the fictional girl group HuntRix, shared his thoughts.

According to a chart preview article released by Billboard on the 11th (local time), "Golden" has climbed one spot from its previous ranking to take the No. 1 position.

The song first entered the Hot 100 at No. 81 earlier last month. As the project gained global popularity, it steadily rose to 23rd, 6th, 4th, 2nd, and finally reached No. 1 in its 7th week.

Lee Jae not only performed as Lumi but also participated in the songwriting and composition of "Golden." On the 12th, he expressed his overwhelming emotions on his SNS, saying, “I can’t think of what to say. I can only cry. Thank you to everyone who has sent their love.”

Previously, in an interview with SBS, Lee Jae revealed, “I wanted to write a song that would give hope to me. My mother always said that words become seeds. I thought that if I made a song like this and kept singing it, it might actually come true. I really wanted to sing a song that says ‘you can do it.’”

Lee Jae, known to be a former trainee at SM Entertainment, is currently active as a singer-songwriter and composer.

"Golden" achieved a remarkable record by topping both the Billboard chart and the UK Official Singles Chart "Top 100," which is considered one of the two major charts in the world, on the 1st.
