G-Dragon of the group Big Bang has drawn attention by liking a social media post that seems to criticize President Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration of martial law.
On the 4th, poet Ha Sang-wook shared a page from his short poetry collection "Lying on the Bed Without Turning Off the Fire" on social media. The content included the phrase, "Just get lost, please."
Although there was no direct mention of the president, speculation arose among netizens that it indirectly criticized President Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration of martial law. Amid this, opinions have emerged that G-Dragon's 'like' on the post may indicate his stance regarding the martial law declaration.
President Yoon Suk-yeol declared martial law on the 3rd at around 10:24 PM, stating it was to "eradicate pro-North Korea anti-state forces and to protect the free constitutional order."
In response, the National Assembly held a plenary session around 1 AM on the 4th and passed a resolution demanding the lifting of martial law. President Yoon stated, "I accept the National Assembly's request and humbly accept the will of the people," lifting the martial law just six hours later.
