Actor Song Joong-ki expressed his sense of responsibility regarding 'My Youth'.
On the 4th, the press conference for JTBC's new Friday drama 'My Youth' (written by Park Si-hyun, directed by Lee Sang-yeob and Ko Hye-jin) was held at The Link Hotel in Seoul. Attendees included Song Joong-ki, Chun Woo-hee, Lee Joo-myung, Seo Ji-hoon, and director Lee Sang-yeob.
'My Youth' depicts the emotional romance between Sunwoo-hae (played by Song Joong-ki), who starts a normal life later than others, and Seong Je-yeon (played by Chun Woo-hee), who unexpectedly has to disrupt her first love's tranquility. The story promises to deliver warmth and excitement as it follows the journey of rediscovering forgotten pieces of 'me' through a reunion with a first love that gifted a dazzling moment in a dark and shadowy place.
Song Joong-ki's previous work, 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate', ranks 2nd in JTBC's all-time viewership ratings. Three years have passed since its airing, yet the record remains unbroken. Will this new work also create a new history?
Song Joong-ki said, "I didn't know it was the 2nd all-time record until today. Now I feel a sense of pressure." He continued, "I was just grateful that my previous work received so much love. Hearing this makes me feel a responsibility to do well," adding, "The pressure isn't that great. This is a different kind of work. I will do my best in the role given to me."
'My Youth' will premiere on the 5th at 8:50 PM.
