Singer and broadcaster Kangnam expressed his gratitude towards his wife, Lee Sang-hwa.
On the broadcast of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ on the 3rd, the couple Kangnam and Lee Sang-hwa appeared as guests.
On that day, Yoo Jae-suk opened by saying, “When the news of their relationship broke, there were many reactions like ‘Kangnam and Lee Sang-hwa?’ and ‘What is Kangnam’s charm that captivated Lee Sang-hwa?’”
Lee Sang-hwa commented on Kangnam’s charm, saying, “He has a seriousness hidden behind his playful side, and when we talk, we connect sincerely. Above all, he is very polite to elders.” Yoo Jae-suk agreed, saying, “Kangnam has great social skills. Even veteran trot singers really adore him.”
When Jo Se-ho asked, “When does Lee Sang-hwa look the most lovable?” Kangnam surprised everyone by saying, “When she is so tired that she is about to faint.” He added, “She always looks perfect, but seeing her like that is cute.”
Kangnam playfully teased Lee Sang-hwa while still using honorifics. He said, “She has a presence and aura that makes me naturally use them. There wasn’t this kind of pressure during our dating, but it became more intense after we got married.”
Lee Sang-hwa explained, “Dating and marriage are different. Marriage is about building a family and planning a happy future together. That’s why I think Kangnam needs to restrain his playful side.”
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-hwa has been taking good care of Kangnam’s father, who recently underwent surgery for liver cancer. Kangnam said, “My dad was diagnosed with liver cancer. Lee Sang-hwa has been in touch with him much more than I have and knows everything about his health, so she took care of his meals.”
He added, “Lee Sang-hwa also covered the treatment costs. She has been taking care of everything from behind, so even though she is my wife, she feels like a mother.”
Lee Sang-hwa said, “My father-in-law had liver issues and heart problems. Kangnam doesn’t show it on the outside, but I can see everything through his expressions. So I made sure to adjust my schedule to go to Japan.”
She continued, “My father-in-law really loves Korean food. I’ve even sent vacuum-packed Korean food before. Also, since he can’t eat salty food, I’ve cooked bland meals and brought them to him.”
She added, “He has recovered a lot now. I feel relieved that he has returned to a healthy state.”
