SBS's soccer variety program 'Goal Daughters' (hereinafter 'Goal Daughters') has been embroiled in controversy over biased judgments and editing manipulation.
On the 1st, the 'Goal Daughters' gallery on DC Inside issued a statement containing eight demands, raising suspicions of biased judgments and editing manipulation.
The match in question was the final between FC Gucheokjangsin and FC Wonder Women, broadcast on August 27. The match record released by SBS indicates that Masima received a warning in the 12th minute of the second half, but this scene does not appear in the main broadcast or the full video released on YouTube.
Fans pointed out this issue in their statement, saying, "There have been claims that the FC Gucheokjangsin players did not receive a whistle despite excessive contact, such as pulling Masima's arm, raising questions about the circumstances under which Masima received the only warning."
They continued, "However, the foul scene was edited out and not released, and this omission seriously undermines trust and fairness regarding the match results."
They demanded the production team to ▲ release the original video ▲ clarify the basis for the judgment ▲ explain the editing process ▲ consistently display game time ▲ establish a prevention system for recurrence ▲ inform viewers.
'Goal Daughters' was also embroiled in manipulation allegations in 2021. At that time, the production team faced controversy for editing that changed the order of goals scored, and SBS ultimately replaced the directing team, stating, "We will return to our original intentions and renew our commitment."
