Broadcaster Bae Seong-jae (47) and SBS announcer Kim Da-young (33) have announced their wedding news, and their photo together is drawing attention.
Bae Seong-jae's agency, SM C&C, stated on the 7th, “Bae Seong-jae will marry Kim Da-young, an SBS announcer, in May. After two years of dating, they recently promised to become partners.”
They continued, “The couple wishes to start quietly, omitting all formalities, and plans to hold a family meal instead of a ceremony. We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot provide specific details regarding other matters related to the wedding as they are private.”
Overcoming a 14-year age difference, the wedding news of Bae Seong-jae and Kim Da-young, who have been in a relationship for two years, is attracting attention, along with their photo together.
Announcer Kim Da-young posted a photo on Instagram in October 2023 with the caption “SBS Soccer Duo Bae Park Jang.” The released photo shows Kim Da-young and Bae Seong-jae posing side by side.
Bae Seong-jae and Kim Da-young are said to have developed their relationship through the SBS variety show ‘Goal Digger Girls’ (also known as ‘Gol Ddaenyuh’). Not only did they overcome a 14-year age difference, but Bae Seong-jae's background as a former SBS announcer is also noteworthy.
Bae Seong-jae entered the broadcasting industry as a regional announcer in KBS's 31st public recruitment in 2005 and moved to SBS as a 14th public recruitment announcer in 2006. After leaving in 2021, he transitioned to freelance work and has appeared in various entertainment shows such as ‘Gol Ddaenyuh’, ‘National Team is National Team’, ‘Hello Trot’, ‘Ramen Kkondae’, ‘Flame Band’, and ‘Legendary League’.
Kim Da-young worked at Mokpo MBC and Busan MBC before joining SBS as a career announcer in 2021. She has served as a fixed guest on SBS Radio Power FM’s ‘Kim Young-chul’s Power FM’ and as a weekday anchor for sports news on ‘SBS 8 News’. She has also been active as a member of FC Anaconda on ‘Gol Ddaenyuh’.
