BLACKPINK ranks first in idol group brand reputation... BTS second, IVE third

The girl group BLACKPINK has topped the idol group brand reputation rankings based on big data analysis for August 2025.

The Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 81,038,147 pieces of big data on idol group brands from July 15, 2025, to August 15, 2025, for the analysis of idol group brand reputation. This is a 13.55% increase compared to the 71,366,509 pieces of big data from July.

The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand big data analysis, which finds that consumers' online habits significantly influence brand consumption. Through the analysis of idol group brand reputation, it is possible to measure positive and negative evaluations of idol group brands, media interest, and the level of consumer interest and communication. Qualitative evaluations from brand reputation monitors were also included.

The idol group brand reputation is analyzed by integrating the brand categories of boy groups and girl groups, measuring consumer participation index, media index, communication index, and community index to analyze the brand reputation index.

The top 30 idol group brand reputation rankings for August 2025 are BLACKPINK, BTS, IVE, Red Velvet, Seventeen, Super Junior, SHINee, TWICE, BIGBANG, RISE, ENHYPEN, EXO, Stray Kids, Infinite, Fromis 9, NCT, ATEEZ, ASTRO, Wanna One, BTOB, Oh My Girl, THE BOYZ, NINE, STAYC, NMIXX, ZEROBASEONE, KIKI, BABYMONSTER, FIFTY FIFTY, and HIGHKEY.

BLACKPINK, which ranked first in idol group brand reputation (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa), had a participation index of 265,286, media index of 537,143, communication index of 2,598,311, and community index of 3,542,708, resulting in a brand reputation index of 6,943,448. This is a 9.91% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 7,707,025 in July.

BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) ranked second with a participation index of 193,158, media index of 691,005, communication index of 2,218,289, and community index of 3,067,090, resulting in a brand reputation index of 6,169,542. This is a 17.56% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 7,483,615 in July.

IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo) ranked third with a participation index of 233,044, media index of 364,689, communication index of 1,474,924, and community index of 3,121,017, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,193,674. This is a 35.87% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 3,822,629 in July.

Red Velvet (Wendy, Irene, Seulgi, Joy, Yeri) ranked fourth with a participation index of 109,760, media index of 351,689, communication index of 1,566,143, and community index of 1,850,188, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,877,780. This is an 85.86% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,086,430 in July.

Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Doyoung, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) ranked fifth with a participation index of 186,102, media index of 392,332, communication index of 826,721, and community index of 2,080,633, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,485,787. This is a 14.77% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 3,037,148 in July.

Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute, stated, "In the idol group brand reputation rankings for August 2025, BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) ranked first. Comparing the big data of idol group brands from July, which was 71,366,509, there was a 13.55% increase. A detailed analysis shows that brand consumption decreased by 8.81%, brand issues decreased by 5.36%, brand communication increased by 1.64%, and brand spread increased by 34.22%," he analyzed.

He continued, "The BLACKPINK brand, which ranked first in the idol group brand reputation for August 2025, showed high scores in link analysis for 'gathering, breaking through, collaborating,' and in keyword analysis for 'running, world tour, blink.' The positive-to-negative ratio analysis recorded a positive ratio of 92.27%," he analyzed the brand.

The big data analysis of idol group brand reputation for August 2025 was conducted on BLACKPINK, BTS, IVE, Red Velvet, Seventeen, Super Junior, SHINee, TWICE, BIGBANG, RISE, ENHYPEN, EXO, Stray Kids, Infinite, Fromis 9, NCT, ATEEZ, ASTRO, Wanna One, BTOB, Oh My Girl, THE BOYZ, NINE, STAYC, NMIXX, ZEROBASEONE, KIKI, BABYMONSTER, FIFTY FIFTY, HIGHKEY, HATS TO HATS, TRIPLE S, ILYT, IZNA, TVXQ, aespa, MONSTA X, BOYNEXTDOOR, TOURS, HIGHLIGHT, APINK, KEPLER, CATS EYE, (G)I-DLE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, VERIVERY, LE SSERAFIM, MIYAO, GIRLS' DAY, and FT ISLAND.
