Lee Dae-ho, the '4th batter of Joseon', appears on ‘Let’s Go’.

In the pre-released video of episode 5 of season 5 of the MBN entertainment program ‘Let’s Go’, legendary baseball player Lee Dae-ho shares stories about the unique support from his wife that shaped who he is today, alongside Ahn Jung-hwan.

Ahn Jung-hwan asked Lee Dae-ho, “Did you eat a lot of good food during your playing days?” to which Lee Dae-ho replied, “Yes, it was good after I got married.” He continued, “My wife made a lot of different foods, but I have certain favorites. She would grill meat for me before games and make fish cake soup with various ingredients,” adding, “If I hit a home run after eating that, I want to eat it again the next day. But if I don’t get a hit, that food will definitely not be served the next day,” revealing his unique food jinx.

In response, Hong Hyun-hee and Kim Min-kyung asked Ahn Jung-hwan, “Doesn’t your wife cook well?” and “What food was the most delicious?” Ahn Jung-hwan replied, “Everything is delicious.” He then shared, “When I was playing in the Italian league, my wife bought eel from the market. When I got home, the eel was almost like an anaconda. She bought it for me because I like eel,” and added, “While boiling it in a pot, it looked like it was shedding its skin like a python. Even though it was disgusting, she cooked it for me.”

Ahn Jung-hwan particularly expressed gratitude, saying, “It was her first time cooking that. I was most thankful then. She went out of her way to find something that wasn’t available just to feed me. I still remember it.”

Meanwhile, season 5 of ‘Let’s Go’ features Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee visiting special and meaningful places, such as a friend’s house or a workplace that best represents the person, sharing life stories. It will air on the 2nd at 8:20 PM.
