MBC's flagship announcer Kim Soo-ji appeared on ‘Radio Star’ and revealed her surprising background of simultaneously hosting ‘News Desk’ and working as an idol lyricist.
The MBC ‘Radio Star’ airing on Wednesday night, the 30th (planned by Kang Young-sun / directed by Kim Myung-yeob, Hwang Yoon-sang, Byeon Da-hee) will feature a special episode titled ‘Age is Just a Number! The Heart is Real!’ with guests Kim Yeon-ja, Jo Hye-ryun, Kim Soo-ji, and Joo Yang.

She also explains, “The number of words reflected in the song when my lyrics are chosen varies.” She mentions, “Each agency has different standards for the number of words they recognize,” and shares industry insights, saying that for the English phrase ‘I love you,’ some companies may recognize it as 5 characters as ‘아이 러브 유’ or as 3 characters as ‘알럽유’.
Her impressive background since her school days also catches attention. Kim Soo-ji reveals, “In middle school, I serialized an internet novel titled ‘Pretty Face Club’ and published it as a book, earning 3 million won in royalties,” showcasing her talent as a writer from a young age.
