Singer Kim Jung-min has lost his mother.
On the 28th, a representative from Kim Jung-min's agency, Silverstone Entertainment, stated to Maeil Business Star Today, "Kim Jung-min's mother passed away the day before (27th)," and "Kim Jung-min is currently keeping vigil at the funeral home." She was 93 years old.
The deceased's funeral is being held at the Suwon Yeongtong-gu Suwon City Yeonhwa Funeral Home, with the burial scheduled for the 29th.
Previously, Kim Jung-min appeared on Channel A's 'Close Friends Documentary: Four-Person Table' last April, where he revealed that he was living as a "father goose," separated from his two sons who were studying soccer in Japan.
At that time, Kim Jung-min mentioned his mother as the reason he could not go to Japan with his wife and children, stating, "My 90-year-old mother lives nearby, so I cannot go to Japan with my wife and kids," demonstrating his sense of responsibility as a son.
Kim Jung-min debuted in 1992 and married his Japanese wife, Tani Rumiko, in October 2006, with whom he has three sons.
