Singer Sohmyung revealed that he has been battling a malignant tumor for a year.
In the episode of TV Chosun’s ‘Dad and Me’ aired on the 17th, Sohmyung was depicted as promoting his daughter Soyumi’s concert.
On that day, Sohmyung worked hard from morning to night to promote Soyumi’s concert in Japan. After finishing all their schedules, Sohmyung and Soyumi went to a local restaurant for dinner.
Soyumi mentioned that this was her first trip with Sohmyung since he became busy after the success of ‘Bye Bye Ya’. She said, “Dad wasn’t around when we were young. He was too busy. I know he was driving alone to 5-6 events a day because ‘Bye Bye Ya’ was doing so well.”
Sohmyung expressed regret, saying, “I was just running forward without looking to the side, and I think I was really foolish. I lost all the precious family moments.” In response, Soyumi caught attention by asking, “Didn’t you think about that after you got sick?”
Sohmyung confessed that the malignant tumor came unexpectedly last year. He said, “I overworked myself while working. I couldn’t do much last year due to surgery and treatment.” Soyumi added, “Fortunately, it was discovered just before it became really serious. They said if it had been 5 months later, it would have been a big problem.”
