With the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to author Han Kang, the publishing industry is buzzing, and the program 'Exclamation Point - Books, Books, Books, Let's Read', which sparked a reading boom in South Korea, is set to make a comeback as a web entertainment show.

According to reports from Maeil Business Star Today, the corner 'Books, Books, Books, Let's Read' from the MBC entertainment program 'Exclamation Point' is preparing to return as a web entertainment show.

A source from the broadcasting industry stated, “In order to continue the reading boom sparked by Han Kang's Nobel Prize in Literature, MBC and Kyobo Bookstore are in discussions to proceed,” adding, “The related team is in the planning stage for the web entertainment show, and the release schedule is yet to be determined.”

Launched in November 2001 as a corner of 'Exclamation Point', 'Books, Books, Books, Let's Read' introduced 25 books over two years until November 2003. At one point, this segment gained explosive popularity, and the books featured on the show made it to bestseller and recommended reading lists. At that time, the publishing industry estimated the 'Exclamation Point Effect' to be worth over 100 billion won, showcasing the significant influence of public broadcasting as a successful case of public interest broadcasting.

Kyobo Bookstore plans to hold events related to 'Books, Books, Books, Let's Read' as part of its digital content offerings by the end of December. Following that, they will sequentially collaborate with MBC to present web entertainment and various reading promotion activities.
