The atmosphere between Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji has become more exciting.
In the 10th episode of KBS2's Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘24-Hour Health Club’ (directed by Park Jun-soo and Choi Yeon-soo, written by Kim Ji-soo), the fitness enthusiast Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Jun-young) begins to have feelings for Lee Mi-ran (played by Jung Eun-ji).
Rumors spread that the death of Kang Sol (played by Park Hae-in) was due to the excessive training enforced by the director Hyun-jung, causing great sorrow. Hyun-jung, despite doing his best, was devastated by the news of Kang Sol's passing and ultimately decided to quit exercising and disappeared suddenly.
Mi-ran and the gym members waited silently for Hyun-jung while protecting the gym from the relentless visits of wrecking YouTubers. Even as criticism towards Hyun-jung grew, Mi-ran personally searched for places like shooting ranges and mountains where she had been with him. However, as she couldn't find Hyun-jung anywhere, her worries only deepened.
Mi-ran found Hyun-jung, who was working a delivery job, in front of the company and urgently chased after him. After a series of twists and turns, Mi-ran reunited with Hyun-jung and pleaded, “I’m working 24-hour shifts to protect the gym for the members. Since you’re not training with us, I think I’m losing muscle, and I really missed you,” urging him to return to the gym where everyone was waiting.
Afterward, Mi-ran kept ordering tteokbokki to meet Hyun-jung again and miraculously encountered him while he was delivering. Determined to comfort him in her own way, Mi-ran fed him tteokbokki while he was shouting, “Tteokbokki is trash!” and their closer interaction made viewers' hearts flutter.
The trainers Rosa (played by Lee Mi-do), Alex (played by Lee Seung-woo), and the witch trio members Im Seong-im (played by Park Seong-yeon), Yoon Bu-young (played by Lee Ji-hye), and Park Dul-hee (played by Hong Yoon-hwa) held a live broadcast with a wrecking YouTuber under the pretext of exposing Hyun-jung's true nature. Alex shared a touching story about how Hyun-jung reached out to him when he was about to give up on life, leading to a new beginning, and stories of people whose lives changed after meeting Hyun-jung followed, evoking deep emotions. Feeling the sincerity of those around him, Hyun-jung returned to his position as the director of the 24-Hour Health Club, bringing smiles back to the gym.
Now, as tteokbokki mates, Hyun-jung and Mi-ran met alone in front of the gym and hid in an alley to avoid the members' gazes. While all of Mi-ran's attention was on the tteokbokki, Hyun-jung responded to her question about her tteokbokki preferences, “Director, do you like (tteokbokki) too?” with a surprising confession, “I like it. I think I’ve gotten better,” causing excitement to explode. As if time had stopped, their close gaze at each other created a breathless ending, raising anticipation for the last two episodes where the romance will unfold.
‘24-Hour Health Club’ will air on June 4 at 9:50 PM.
