Actress Kim Ga-yeon has announced a strong response by exposing negative comments.
On the 31st, Kim Ga-yeon posted on social media, "This is my personal space, but if this continues, I will chase until the end," along with a photo.
The photo contained an extreme negative comment saying, "XXX 1st place, got into a traffic accident and XXX broke, XX face."
Kim Ga-yeon remarked, "These days, kids see this and say, 'Oh, self-introduction,'" reflecting the negative comment back to the commenter.
The negative comments included derogatory expressions towards supporters of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate. It seems the comments were made out of displeasure at Kim Ga-yeon's public support for the candidate.
On the 30th, Kim Ga-yeon attended a campaign event for Lee Jae-myung at the clock tower square in Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do, where she delivered a supportive speech. She mentioned witnessing the Gwangju Democratic Uprising on May 18, 1980, and referred to the tragic scene at that time.
She emphasized, "I believed that there would never be a martial law during my lifetime. But on December 3rd of last year, an absurd martial law was declared," and asked, "Everyone, how did you feel after December 3rd? Do you think everything is over just because he (former President Yoon Seok-yeol) was dismissed? It is not."
She also stated, "The reason I support Lee Jae-myung is that I have no doubt he will do exceptionally well," adding, "It is a world we create together. I believe that candidate Lee Jae-myung will create such a world, and I support him."
