‘Pyeon Restaurant’ Yoon Jong-hoon is taking on six high-difficulty royal dishes.
In the KBS2 show ‘New Launch Pyeon Restaurant’ (hereafter ‘Pyeon Restaurant’) airing on the 7th, a parade of royal dishes filled with Yoon Jong-hoon’s dedication as the ‘Korean Food Master of Pyeon Restaurant’ will unfold. Yoon Jong-hoon will prepare a whopping six royal dishes, including grilled pork, sashimi, mooncake, and fresh hot pot, all within three hours. During this process, it is known that Yoon Jong-hoon, the epitome of ‘sickly sexy,’ will face physical limits, adding to the curiosity about the broadcast with plenty of laughs.
In the released VCR, Yoon Jong-hoon invites friends from the Seodang (traditional Korean school) he has been attending for nine years to his home. Yoon Jong-hoon stated, “They are really precious guests to me, so I wanted to treat them well by specially preparing royal cuisine,” expressing his determination. He then began to create royal dishes filled with care using his signature finger technique and umami-rich kelp oil.
Royal cuisine, known as the essence of traditional Korean food. Among them, sashimi and mooncake are unfamiliar names and are considered high-difficulty dishes, dubbed the ‘ultimate royal cuisine.’ Yoon Jong-hoon poured his dedication into making these dishes. However, he encountered unexpected obstacles during the cooking process. His obsession with achieving a soft texture led him to repeat the grinding process endlessly, causing his stamina to deplete rapidly.
Seeing Yoon Jong-hoon, who was intensely focused on cooking with beads of sweat on his forehead, MC Boom expressed concern, saying, “Oh dear, he’s going to collapse soon,” which turned the ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ studio into a sea of laughter. Nevertheless, Yoon Jong-hoon continued to grind until exhaustion, earning the nickname ‘Master Grinder Yoon Da-jim.’ Did Yoon Jong-hoon succeed in creating satisfying royal dishes beyond his physical limits?
On this day, the six royal dishes Yoon Jong-hoon made in three hours reportedly amazed not only the ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ family but also the invited friends from the Seodang.
‘Pyeon Restaurant’ airs on the 7th at 8:30 PM.
