In 'Please Take Care of Eagle Brothers!', Um Ji-won perfectly embodied the character of Ma Kwang-sook.
In the KBS2 weekend drama 'Please Take Care of Eagle Brothers!' (directed by Choi Sang-yeol, written by Koo Hyun-sook), which premiered on the 1st, Um Ji-won plays the role of Ma Kwang-sook, the cheerful and confident head of the post office, showcasing not only sweet romance but also comedy and deep emotional acting flawlessly.
Um Ji-won captured attention with her comedic performance early in the drama. When a robber broke into the post office, Kwang-sook tearfully exclaimed, "I'm a bride just a week before my wedding. I can't become a spinster without even having the ceremony!" displaying her quirky charm. Additionally, when Oh Jang-soo (played by Lee Pil-mo) cluelessly approached the post office, her frantic attempts to signal him to stay away were hilarious.
Having married at a late age, Kwang-sook created a pink atmosphere with sweet newlywed chemistry with Jang-soo. Her adorable calls of "Yeobong" as soon as she woke up added to her charm. The perfect romantic synergy between Um Ji-won and Lee Pil-mo made viewers smile.
The bickering moments between Um Ji-won and Ahn Jae-wook also added to the fun. Kwang-sook demanded the alteration fee for her torn wedding dress from Han Dong-seok (played by Ahn Jae-wook), engaging in witty banter, and hinted at another meeting, piquing curiosity about their future relationship.
Um Ji-won heightened viewers' immersion when Kwang-sook rushed to the hospital in shock after hearing the news of Jang-soo's traffic accident. Upon learning of Jang-soo's death, Kwang-sook shed tears like a waterfall and eventually collapsed.
