Actress Cha Ye-ryun shared her thoughts about her husband Joo Sang-wook.
On the 30th, the Channel A show 'Close Friends Documentary: Four-Person Dining Table' (hereafter 'Four-Person Dining Table') featured Joo Sang-wook and Cha Ye-ryun, who are close friends of Noh Hee-young, along with guest Kim Mi-kyung.
On that day, Cha Ye-ryun introduced the couple by saying, "We have been living together for 8 years." She continued, "Joo Sang-wook and I are very different. So some days are really hard. He doesn't empathize with me at all. He really doesn't give me any empathy, so sometimes I feel lonely," expressing her honest feelings.
Cha Ye-ryun also recalled her dating days with Joo Sang-wook, saying, "We have never been to a nice restaurant for a date. I thought he was testing me. He always made me eat pork belly and soju. I wondered how long I could endure this."
Furthermore, Cha Ye-ryun expressed her frustration, saying, "But (Joo Sang-wook) lacks empathy, so when I'm sad, he just asks, 'Why are you sad?' When I'm having a hard time, he asks, 'Why is it hard?'"
In response, Joo Sang-wook said, "You need to cut it off right before you cry. Instead of comforting you after you cry, you should listen and cut it off right before you cry," suggesting how to deal with Cha Ye-ryun's gloomy feelings. Cha Ye-ryun agreed, saying, "Actually, now I appreciate it more when he tells me directly and moves on. There’s no time for emotions to deepen."
Cha Ye-ryun and Joo Sang-wook got married in 2017 and have one daughter together.
