Comedian Kim Jun-ho visited the grave of Kim Ji-min's father.
In the episode of TV Chosun’s ‘Lovers of Joseon’ aired on the 3rd, Kim Jun-ho's visit to Kim Ji-min's father's grave was depicted.
On this day, the production team asked Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min, “The two have officially become a future groom and bride. The scene of them walking separately became a hot topic; has anything changed since the proposal?” Kim Jun-ho replied, “Ji-min is not the type to enjoy physical affection,” to which Kim Ji-min said, “Still, we do this much,” and linked arms, creating a sense of excitement.
Kim Jun-ho stated, “After the proposal, I feel like Ji-min has accepted me. Before that, it felt like she was my girlfriend but not really.” In response, Kim Ji-min revealed, “Since appearing on ‘Lovers of Joseon’, I have changed a lot. It has been a mirror therapy for me.”
Afterward, Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min headed to Donghae, Gangwon-do, where Kim Ji-min's father's grave is located. Kim Jun-ho said, “Last time, I went to tell him we were dating, and this time, I’m going as the third future son-in-law. It’s different.”
Upon arriving at the grave, Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min greeted respectfully. Kim Ji-min said, “When my dad passed away, my brother (Kim Jun-ho) helped with the funeral. At that time, he was a complete senior. He even came to the crematorium with us.” Kim Jun-ho added, “Ji-min was like family. We’ve been together since 2009.”
Kim Ji-min mentioned, “My brother was at the forefront with my manager at that time. Looking at the photos, I thought, ‘So this is how fate connects us. Is it destiny?’” Kim Jun-ho responded, “I guess that’s when my father-in-law gave his approval.”
After raising the first cup, Kim Jun-ho bowed and said, “May you be happy, father-in-law.” He then placed prepared walnut cakes and yogurt on the grave and read a letter he had written himself.
Kim Jun-ho said, “I now greet you with the mindset of becoming one family. Father-in-law, after you went to heaven, I saw Ji-min sending texts and letters to you for years, and I could empathize with her feelings for you.” He continued, “Thank you for raising such a beautiful daughter and for watching over her from heaven. I may be a lacking future son-in-law, but I will show you my efforts to live well with Ji-min and her mother in the future.”
Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min bowed together. When Kim Ji-min said, “We will become a couple that lives well as the third daughter,” Kim Jun-ho promised, “I will make Ji-min happy.”
