As the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’ is set to be broadcast today (11th), attention is focused on who will take home the Grand Prize.
The ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’ was originally scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31 of last year, but was canceled due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air incident. The awards ceremony was then conducted as a recorded event.
Nominees for the Grand Prize include Lee Soon-jae from the drama ‘Dog Barking’, Ji Hyun-woo and Lim Soo-hyang from ‘Beauty and the Beast’, Kim Jung-hyun and Park Ji-young from ‘Iron Family’, and Kim Ha-neul from ‘Let’s Grab the Collar Once’.
Lee Soon-jae has taken on a delightful acting transformation in ‘Dog Barking’, balancing comedy and seriousness, capturing the viewers' emotions. Kim Ha-neul showcased profound acting in ‘Let’s Grab the Collar Once’, while Ji Hyun-woo and Lim Soo-hyang brought laughter and tears to the weekend drama ‘Beauty and the Beast’, and Kim Jung-hyun and Park Ji-young from ‘Iron Family’ are also in the running for the trophy.
If Lee Soon-jae wins the Grand Prize, he will break the record for the oldest recipient. It is interesting to note that if Ji Hyun-woo wins, he could challenge for the record of most Grand Prizes with a second win. There is also keen interest in whether Park Ji-young, Kim Ha-neul, and Lim Soo-hyang can bring home the honor of being the first female Grand Prize winner since Gong Hyo-jin in 2019.
Hosted by broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu, actor Seo Hyun, and Moon Sang-min, the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’ will be broadcast on the 11th at 9:20 PM.
