Kwang-soo from the ‘I Am Solo’ special episode for divorced singles has drawn attention as he revealed he is the head of album production at an entertainment company.
On the broadcast of ENA·SBS Plus ‘I Am Solo’ on the 10th, the male participants of Season 28 introduced themselves during the ‘divorced singles special’ segment.
On this day, Kwang-soo introduced his profession by saying, “Do you know the movie ‘Begin Again’? The male protagonist in the movie has the job of Artists & Repertoire (A&R), which involves discovering artists and overseeing album production. I have been doing this job for over 10 years and have served as the head of album production for various idol groups.”
He then drew attention by listing popular idol groups such as MBLAQ, Mad Town, and KARD, which he has participated in producing albums for.
MBLAQ is a five-member group that debuted in October 2009, consisting of Lee Joon, Cheondung, Seung-ho, G.O, and Mir, and gained popularity. Currently, they are maintaining a three-member team due to the departure of Lee Joon and Cheondung. Mad Town is also a boy group that was created by MBLAQ's agency in 2014. They began the process of disbandment in November 2017. KARD is a four-member co-ed group that debuted in July 2017 and is currently active under DSP Media.
Meanwhile, Kwang-soo also attracted interest when he revealed during a meeting with the production team while applying for ‘I Am Solo’ that his father is a former 3-term congressman.
He also shared that he married his ex-wife at the age of 27 despite opposition from both families, but they divorced just six months after the birth of their daughter. He mentioned that he is currently raising his daughter, who is in her third year of high school, alone, saying, “I lived for my child. My priority was my daughter, and I forgot about love, but now I want to find true love.”
The introduction of the men, including Kwang-soo, has concluded, and ‘I Am Solo’ Season 28 will reveal the women’s self-introductions in next week’s broadcast.
