The 24th season of ‘I’m SOLO’ has officially opened the door to a pink romance.
In the episode aired on the 8th, the real dating program ‘I’m SOLO’ on SBS Plus and ENA showcased the solo women of Season 24 revealing their surprising identities during the ‘self-introduction time’. In the first date selection, Young-cheol and Kwang-soo each received 2 votes, becoming the protagonists of the ‘group date’, while Young-ho and Young-sik ended up with 0 votes, resulting in a ‘lonely meal’ and creating an ‘extreme’ atmosphere.
After the solo men unveiled their identities through their ‘self-introductions’, the solo women each showcased their new charms with confident introductions. Young-sook, born in 1994, works as a 7th-grade civil servant in educational administration at a public institution. A ‘hobby enthusiast’ who enjoys tennis, pilates, flying yoga, and pottery, Young-sook expressed her desire to get married within two years and shared her life goal of becoming a good-natured grandmother. Jeong-sook, born in 1993, is preparing to start her second life as a businesswoman after leaving S Bank and learning from her father. Having tried various sports like health and golf, Jeong-sook stated, “My ideal type is a diligent and big man,” and added, “I want to shine the most here,” receiving enthusiastic applause from everyone.
Sun-ja, born in 1992, introduced herself as an administrative civil servant working in a central government office in Seoul, enjoying a lifestyle filled with various experiences like interior design, marathons, and climbing. She confessed to being a ‘vegetarian’ and said, “I hope to meet someone who can accept vegetarians without prejudice or discomfort. However, I will never force my vegetarianism on others.” Young-ja, born in 1990, revealed her surprising job as the CEO of a sensory play company for infants. She confidently self-promoted, saying, “As a freelancer, I can adjust to my boyfriend’s schedule. I have a Korean and Chinese cooking certification. If I were born in the past, I would be the top bride!”
Ok-soon, born in 1988, surprised everyone with her unexpected background as an employee in the brand strategy department of Company K. Growing up in a harmonious family, Ok-soon expressed, “I want to meet someone who has the comfort of not shaking like my bed.” She mentioned that her parents are frugal, which has instilled a habit of saving in her. Young-cheol, who followed, received the same picks from Young-sook and Sun-ja as in the first impression selection. Young-cheol, who went on a ‘2:1 date’, decided to take Sun-ja, the vegetarian, to a sashimi restaurant. However, as all the restaurants were fully booked, they ended up at a spicy soup restaurant after much searching. There, Young-cheol summoned his catchphrase, “Just breathe,” and took great care of the two women. Nevertheless, he gave all the food to Sun-ja first and often looked at her during conversations, unintentionally making Young-sook feel neglected. After the date, Young-cheol confessed in an interview with the production team that he had more feelings for Sun-ja, while Sun-ja also said, “The atmosphere is nice now,” but left room for curiosity by saying, “I’m also curious about Kwang-soo.”
On the other hand, Ok-soon, who went on a ‘1:1 date’ with Young-soo, captivated him with her ‘romance professor’ charm. Ok-soon immediately called Young-soo ‘oppa’ and responded to his statement, “If my future wife finds work difficult, she can take a break.
