Actor Jung Gyeo-woon candidly shared his feelings about married life.
On the 11th, SBS’s ‘Take Off Your Shoes and Dolsing Po Man’ featured guests Jung Young-joo, Jung Gyeo-woon, and Kim Yong-jun.
On this day, Jung Gyeo-woon mentioned his wife Kim Woo-rim, saying, “I met her at a gathering. It was a gathering of my wife’s friends. The husband of one of my wife’s friends was someone I knew. So I met my wife and thought, ‘I can’t let this person go.’ The atmosphere was just so good.”
When Kim Jun-ho said, “Isn’t that the case if she’s pretty?” Jung Gyeo-woon replied, “That’s right. She was beautiful. Her personality was very different from mine. I’m introverted, but my wife is confident and outgoing.”
Jung Gyeo-woon revealed his love story, saying, “We started dating with the premise of marriage from the beginning. I confessed to my wife, ‘I will go all in for you, no matter what I have.’ She accepted it. This happened just a month after we started dating.”
Having successfully married despite his father-in-law's opposition, Jung Gyeo-woon said, “I heard that my father-in-law secretly cried in his car. Since I’m a divorcee, I understand his feelings.” He continued, “I told him, ‘I will love your daughter with my life,’ and gained his trust. Now he sees me affectionately,” he smiled.
Jung Gyeo-woon boasted about his happy married life, saying, “I tell my wife I love her every day for the past 8 years. Saying I love her every day feels too repetitive, so I express it differently. I find various ways and amounts to express my love.”
However, he also noted, “Marriage seems tough. The couple is very different from each other. Men and women are so different that they inevitably fight, and they need to fight.”
Jung Gyeo-woon mentioned that he once made 200 calls to his angry wife. He said, “In the early days of our marriage, I really didn’t know. After making 200 calls, I was surprised myself. My wife said, ‘Did you think I would answer if you called?’ After that fight, I didn’t call. Then she complained that I didn’t call. There’s no right answer in a couple’s fight,” he said.
