In ‘The Danttara’, Jo Hye-jin claimed the final victory, bringing the show to a close.
On the 19th, KBS2's entertainment program ‘The Danttara’ aired its 11th episode, where Ahn Young-bin, Yoo Woo, Jo Hye-jin, Na Young-joo, and Lee Song-hyun competed in the TOP5 finals. In the final showdown broadcast live for 90 minutes with MC Jung Yong-hwa, Jo Hye-jin emerged victorious, leading to cheers.
Park Jin-young revealed his self-composed song ‘MAD’ filled with support and encouragement for the finals, and the TOP5 members Ahn Young-bin, Yoo Woo, Jo Hye-jin, Na Young-joo, and Lee Song-hyun performed on stage as part of a team mission. Wendy commented, “They seem like friends who have debuted perfectly even as a team,” and Park Jin-young praised, “They have grown even more since the semifinals.”
For the first performance, Na Young-joo added traditional Korean sounds to Baby Monster's ‘SHEESH’. Cha Tae-hyun remarked, “They made the most new attempts. Each time they tried something, it exceeded expectations,” giving a thumbs up. Park Jin-young commented, “It seems like they have completely found their own color,” and Na Young-joo received a total score of 389 from the judges.
Ahn Young-bin infused fresh ideas into BTS's ‘DNA’ to complete his performance. Kim Ha-neul said, “The stage idea was fresh and innovative,” and Cha Tae-hyun praised, “The outfit was shocking and new from the start.” Ahn Young-bin earned a total score of 378 from the judges.
Jo Hye-jin performed IU's ‘Coin’, and Wendy humorously said, “When I see someone cool, I want to call them ‘sister’, but I want to call Hye-jin ‘sister’,” bringing laughter. Jo Hye-jin received a total score of 397 from the judges.
Lee Song-hyun showcased beautiful dance lines with Jisoo's ‘Flower’. Park Jin-young praised, “It felt like ‘this is the kind of artist I am’. It was such a beautiful piece that I had no words,” and Lee Song-hyun recorded a total score of 397.
Yoo Woo filled the stage with powerful dance to Hyun Jin-young's ‘You in My Memory’, and Kim Ha-neul expressed amazement, “It’s amazing that someone so young can understand the emotions of an old song.” Park Jin-young shared, “The word ‘Danttara’ is a word I love so much. When I debuted, I tried to change ‘Danttara’ into a compliment, and now I feel proud and grateful that it has become a compliment.” He added, “Completing the word ‘Danttara’ is about spontaneity, and in terms of spontaneity, Yoo Woo is number one,” and Yoo Woo received a total score of 382 from the judges.
As a result, Jo Hye-jin and Ahn Young-bin were nominated as the finalists, raising the tension. After combining pre-voting, team performances, individual performances, judges' scores, and live text votes, Jo Hye-jin ultimately claimed the victory.
Jo Hye-jin said, “The time I’ve practiced until now has passed. The end always seems sad, but it also signifies a beginning, so I will become a more developed Danttara,” as she teared up. Ahn Young-bin, who finished as the runner-up, expressed, “I was happy to be able to stand on such a stage. I will work hard to continue being a Danttara.”
