On the 26th, SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) held the 'Curious' youth job mentoring at its headquarters in Seongsu-dong.
This youth job mentoring was organized to share the experiences of current professionals with young people aspiring to work in the entertainment industry and to provide practical advice and guidance on their career paths. It was conducted in a small group format, matching 5 to 10 mentees with one mentor across a total of 8 fields: △A&R (Artists & Repertoire) △IP Strategy Operations △MD Planning △Financial Accounting △HR Operations (Recruitment) △General Affairs I (Management Support) △General Affairs II (Department Management) △Popup Store Space Operations.
This is the 6th year of SM's youth job mentoring. In the morning, participants learned about SM Entertainment through ice-breaking activities and company introductions, and in the afternoon, mentoring sessions were held in small groups for 100 minutes.
Mentees who participated in the event expressed, "There are many general mentoring programs, but there are almost none specifically tailored to the entertainment industry. This was a valuable time to understand what direction I need to prepare in order to pursue the job I want. I am grateful for this opportunity." Mentors also shared, "I gained a lot of inspiration from having serious conversations with passionate young people, and it was rewarding to share my experiences as a current professional. I hope to continue creating opportunities for mutual development with young people in the future."
