Actress Noh Yoon-seo won the Rookie Acting Award at the 'Baeksang Arts Awards', marking her second 'Baeksang Rookie Award' honor.
Noh Yoon-seo received the Best New Actress award in the film category for her role in the movie 'Cheongseol' at the '61st Baeksang Arts Awards' held on the 5th. After winning the Best New Actress award in the TV category at the '59th Baeksang Arts Awards' for the tvN drama 'Crash Course in Romance' in 2023, she has once again claimed the Baeksang trophy after two years.
Previously, Noh Yoon-seo portrayed the character Summer in 'Cheongseol', capturing the vibrant and fresh pages of youth while providing warm empathy as she experienced the growing pains of youth.
Upon taking the stage as a rookie award winner, Noh Yoon-seo greeted the audience in sign language, adding significance to her award.
She expressed, “This is the first time I’ve had a long meeting with the audience through a stage greeting. The audience held our hands and said, ‘Thank you for making this film,’ and in that moment, I felt a lot of emotions,” adding, “It became an opportunity to reflect on the direction of my work and what mindset I should have in this job.”
She also stated, “I believe that conveying feelings can be done sincerely regardless of the form of language. I am truly grateful to the sign language instructors who helped me acquire the wonderful language of sign language,” and added, “I was able to have such a happy experience thanks to everyone who worked hard until the film was released to the world. I feel empowered to work because of all of you who love me. I sincerely thank you.”
Noh Yoon-seo has gained attention as a rising star, starting with the drama 'Our Blues', followed by 'Crash Course in Romance', and the Netflix film '20th Century Girl'. Through her screen debut in 'Cheongseol', she showcased a delicate performance that stimulates emotions, establishing herself as a leading young actress.
She has confirmed her participation in the upcoming Netflix series 'Donggung' (tentative title), preparing for a new transformation as the character Ginger, a palace maid with the ability to hear ghosts.
